Members who do not earn up to 25 credit points in a year stand the risk of their names being deleted from the membership register.

MEMBERSHIP ADMISSION TO:
* FELLOLWS *FULL MEMBERS *ASSOCIATES
MEMBERSHIP OF THE INSTITUTE:
Membership is by application. Acceptable members would normally possess
a University Degree, HND/ND, and Diploma/Certificate in Secretarial
Administration from the Universities, Polytechnics and other professional
Institutions and will be required to take part in the pre-admission screening.
THE GRADE FOR MEMBERS ARE-
FELLOWS: (FIPS)
This grade is for highly experienced and holders of B.Sc./HND or its
equivalent in Secretarial Administration who have worked for a period of
not less than fifteen (15) years and have been an active member on
MEMBERSHIP GRADE of the Institute for a period not less than
six (6) active years to qualify for consideration.
MEMBER (MIPS)
This grade is for graduates with B.Sc./HND or its equivalents in
Secretarial Administration, Employed or unemployed at the time of
Membership application.
ASSOCIATES (AIPS):
The Associate Membership grade of the Institute is granted to any person
who qualified as a Secretary. He/She would normally have ND/Diploma/
Certificate in Secretarial Administration or its equivalent qualifications.
Graduates in other disciplines but with Secretarial background may also
be considered for admission.
HONORARY FELLOWS (CIPS)
Honorary Fellowship is conferred exceptionally by the Institute on individuals
in recognition of their achievements in their fields of specialization.
